Ingredients

SiS Beta Fuel Gels are built around a dual-source carbohydrate matrix of maltodextrin (derived from maize) and fructose in an optimized 1:0.8 ratio. Each 60ml serving delivers 40g of carbohydrates and is completely vegan, allergen-free, and contains zero caffeine in its standard formula.

The standard ingredient list for the BETA Fuel Energy Gel includes:

  • Water
  • Maltodextrin (30% from corn)
  • Fructose (23%)
  • Natural/Artificial Flavorings (Depending on the specific taste, e.g., Orange, Strawberry & Lime)
  • Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate)
  • Gelling Agents (Gellan Gum, Xanthan Gum)
  • Preservatives (Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate)
  • Sodium Chloride (Salt)

Why We Love It

This is our best-seller for a reason. Beta Fuel lets you carry fewer gels and still hit the high carb targets that actually move the needle on performance. Forty grams of carbs per gel means less fumbling mid-race and more energy where it counts. It's the upgrade that makes long-course racing feel a whole lot more manageable.

Fuel Kit Tip

Targeting 60–90 g of carbs per hour? One Beta Fuel gel gets you halfway there in a single reach. Pair it with a sports drink or a second gel depending on your hourly target and how long you're out there. New to high-carb fuelling? Start practising in training first so race day feels like old news.

FAQs

What is the glucose-to-fructose ratio of the Beta Fuel Energy Gels?

SiS Beta Fuel products use a 1:0.8 glucose-to-fructose ratio (roughly equal parts of each). This ratio has been shown to increase how much carbohydrate your body can absorb and use per hour compared to a traditional 2:1 ratio, which means more usable energy for longer efforts.

What is the difference between SiS Isotonic and Beta gels?

Go Isotonic Gels contain 22g of carbohydrate from a single source (maltodextrin), with a thinner, gentle-on-the-stomach texture that's easy to take without water, best for exercise under 90 minutes or if you're newer to gels. Beta Fuel Gels pack 40g of carbohydrate from a dual-source blend (maltodextrin and fructose), which lets your body absorb more carbs per hour, making it the better choice for longer efforts or higher-intensity racing where you need to fuel harder.

Is this Fuel Kit's most popular gel?

Yes, it's our best-seller by a wide margin. Athletes love it for the extra carbs per gel and the dual-source formula, which means fewer gels to carry and less stomach upset during long efforts. If you're not sure where to start, this is a safe bet.

Why was the Beta Fuel range developed?

SiS developed Beta Fuel alongside elite teams like the INEOS Grenadiers (currently the Netcompany-INEOS cycling team) to help athletes take in higher amounts of carbohydrate per hour without the stomach upset that often comes with it. The goal was to fuel harder efforts for longer. Beta Fuel started as an elite-level product before becoming available to everyday athletes.
